loosing a loved one
When a young person looses someone important to them it triggers mixed emotions. People so young have a hard time to except someone important to them be taken away. Suicide is usually talked about, when a teen or young adult looses a loved one they can get into a state of mind where they can't see a good outcome.
When a love one dies you cant control it, the only thing you can control is the way you handle it. Expessually when a parent dies, you loose the authority or the leader. A parent is there to protect you and teach you and help you throughout life.
So many teens always handle loosing someone the wrong way. Its always better to face your problems head on. Pick yourself up and express the way you feel to someone. If nothing seems to help go to a therapist or talk to another loved one.
To me, loosing someone is hard, obviously cause someone you care about and that was there for you is gone. There is no right or wrong way of grieving but facing your problems and picking your self up seems like a good one. Many grieving people want to be alone, and sometimes its a way of dodging others. Leave the pain and depression behind, think about the times you had with that person and be thankful for the time you had.
Most of the time when a kid is bullying others it's because something is wrong with him/her. It could easily be something wrong at home or a Depression is a illness that no one has ever understood. Both the bully and the victim are both likely to already be suffering from depression. When a person feel to bully another, it's most like that the bully is going through something in the past or at home. That's when they feel the need to take their anger out on someone else.
Victims often suffer from low self esteem. Feeling restless, worthless, and worried all the time. It is very common that most of the suicide deaths that have happened were over because they were being harassed. Teens who have never had that “parent picture” in their lives feel as if there is no one there for them. For the victim, it can lead to adulthood depression.
Cyber bullying is a big way to bully others. Most attack their victims over social media. Because bullies can hide behind a computer or phone they will post mean comments to harass others. That way then others can get on and do the same. But if bullies do it this way and make fake profiles it is harder to be known who it is.
My opinion, bullying is horrible. There is something we can all do just to help other when people are picking on one another. Its wrong when people bully but you can't change teens or anyone. People just need to learn to leave each other alone. Very often people will judge by what you wear, how you do other things, a mistake from the past.
Verbal, physical abuse, can easily lead to depression. So many teenagers have been abused in high school, and even in their own home. Many people take their anger out on other people because they have no way else to do it, thats why its mostly common for a parent to take it out on their own children. Also parents that suffer with their own depression or illnesses physically and verbally abuse their kids.
Physical abuse is where a person gets beaten or hurt. Women tend to be the target from men. The women may seem to scared of the attacker so they choose not to say anything to he or she. Physical abuse can lead to depression easily because they will be feeling hurt all the time and alone and not loved. Most people attempt to take medication for depression when getting abused, but because the hurt from someone like that cannot be helped with meds.
Verbal abuse is another big way for people to hurt others. Anything hurtful or rude can be taken that way. Anyone can experience verbal abuse, can be found in relationships, families. Most people that are exposed to verbal abuse tend to have or get posttraumatic stress disorder or clinical depression. It's often disguised as a joke, they say that they didn’t mean it, or they were just joking around. If no one is there to help a teen that is getting abused, they will never get away from it and they won't know any better.
In my opinion, a lot of people go through verbal abuse and physical abuse. In most cases that I've seen they just don't see why it's wrong for someone to do that to them so they just tend to stay or put up with it. People could definitely work on the way they treat others because no one deserved to be physically hurt or verbally attacked. Also, if yourself or anyone is being abused in a family or relationship tell someone, because someone needs to help them because if no one does it won't stop.
Illnesses are a big subject that can easily lead to depression. What most trauma that people go through is what really scares them and leads to anxiety and depression. There are countless serious diseases and illnesses out there, but i'm going to be talking about 2 common cancers. One who maybe going through these problems have a greater risk at going through depression and anxiety.
Leukemia cancer, often described as acute (fast growing) or chronic (slowly growing). Most find themselves hopeless, and struggle to try to get better, which isn't uncommon. For teens and young adults with any kind of cancer you may feel isolated. Many different forms of leukemia is formed on children and younger adults. Treatment is a long road to go down and very complex so that is why most people feel tired of trying to get better and get into the depression stage. Leukemia is where the bone marrow produces abnormal white blood cells, which doesn’t function properly.
Lung cancer, often told that found in smokers. There are 3 different types of lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, the most common kind of lung cancer. Over 85% of lung cancer patients have this type. Small cell lung cancer, also called oat cell cancer. This type of cancer tends to spread quickly. Lung carcinoid tumor, only about 5% have this type. Most of the type of tumor spread slowly and rarely spread. People that often smoke have the greater risk of lung cancer. Because of something so serious you cannot live without. It is hard to find a new set of lungs. You would be put on the donor list but most likely to take over years.
In my own opinion, it is truly heartbreaking to see the people we care so much have to go through that. Even harder if they are alone and going through depression or through anxiety issues. I've never known anyone that has been through Leukemia or Lung cancer, even though i don't know the struggles and the hard treatment it all just looks horrible. If one were to get sick it's so easy to get yourself not thinking and completely lose it, try to give up on yourself. One who gets sick or is going through something, seek family or someone to help. Cause once one fall down that horrible hole of depression it's hard to get out alone.
Many people have depression, mostly found in teens and young adults. There are nameless ways that a person could be suffering with depression, and that’s not the only illness that most get confused by. It’s easy to judge someone by the way a person think they feel or way they act. Mostly has to be ticked off and approved by a doctor. It can be confusing for most to understand what that one could be in taking.
Anxiety is an illness that can be linked like depression. Although its where a person could feel worried, nervous, or has tension over an event. The outcome is differently of others, less tension or more. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is mostly the basics of anxiety. Where people are overly concerned with heath, work, money, or other issues. GAD affects 6.8 million young adults or 3.1% of the U.S. population. That is why most young adults can suffer with this because leaving school going into the world can be very confusing and hard for most.
Bipolar disorder, “an illness where it alternates periods of elation and depression”. A mental illness that’s brings sever high and low moods. One who has a bipolar disorder can be very harmful or harmless. It brings lots of different kinds of behaviors. There are many different types of bipolar disorders that people suffer from. Disorder I, have episodes that usually last up to 7 days at a time. Changes in activity levels or waves more with older teens or young adults. Many of this disorder usually runs through the family.
It is hard to understand what to say or do with a person with a bipolar disorder because of a way their mood cause just change so instantly from happy to complete anger. I feel that I’ve seen anxiety first hand with most people just dealing with money and family issues. As one it’s hard to balance everything all by yourself. I could see how depression can be consulted with anxiety and bipolar, one can change so differently and some just don’t understand what’s wrong with another or how to help. One could be so sad and get mad, but one could take it as another is going through this bipolar stage but in reality it’s just depression.
Several medication drugs can increase the risk of depression. A drug that helps for some other defect can bring depression to one. Which is very bad because if one is getting help for something so simple as in acne, that could bring a slight of depression. Everyone's body handles differently for all sorts. For birth control, women may have severe side effects. Chantix may lead to depression because just not having that nicotine may tick people off. People get addicted to smoking like it's a strong drug that they just need.
Birth control is the most common medication that can easily lead to a risk of depression. Birth control is a pill women take to not get pregnant. Over 68% of teens take birth control in the US, found in 2010. That number has probably increased tremendously over the past 6 years. If one has depression or anxiety in family history, or genetically, they are more like to increase when taking birth control. Also works differently for others, may be serious side effects for one and just something they take or have.
Chantix is another common medication that can increase depression. Chantix is a medication that people take to stop smoking. It takes away the wanting of nicotine. It is most common because over half the population smokes, and if one was to want to and take the chantix medication they would feel less like they needed to have the smoke. They experience serious withdrawal. There are 2 different steps about how chantix works. First, activates brain sites (nicotinic acetylcholine receptors) only triggered by nicotine. Second, neutralizes the effect of nicotine.
In my opinion, young teens should always use their birth control because just something most do. Most have a harder time dealing with depression because of something in the past, genetics, tragedy, it could be anything. So by taking something else that is suppose to help one stay safe, it gives you higher risk to depression. Chantix especially, because they’re are a bunch of people that have a real hard time trying to stop smoking. Also that chantix is suppose to help stop ones want to smoke, and people get caught up becoming mad because they cannot have the nicotine.
Jobs & Money
As we all know, life can be very, very complicated. It's always harder for one person, than it is for others. Jobs and money can be real tight things families nowadays go though. This is just some of the easy ways to get through the depression side. Not always to people get depressed over money and jobs, but those are two different things families have a difficult time doing. Also everyone understands to find some help.
When it comes to life, just going to your job can bring slight depression to one. There are lots of different ways to get upset or way too health involved with your job, work stress and work depression. They both can have a greater effect to the way you come to work, and go home. Yet everyone has those days, an awful, nothing goes your way, just scream and leave day. Also do not think that it is just work, make sure there aren't other things going on, work can always be a difficult thing, but talk it out with a boss or someone.
Money is another one of a big topic that can bring depression to one. Money is one of the most common thing everyone has trouble coming up with. It is simply just a thing all people go though, and here are some ways to not get depressed over money issues. 1. Dont ignore it, face it straight on, you don't want to wait until last round and find out you're broke. 2. Face it, yet don't get to into it all that it's going to bring a high amount of depression to yourself. 3. Do something creative, doesn't have to be a lot or a lot of money, but do something fun and cheap. Money can easily bring depression to 46% if people, so don't be that one.
In my opinion, work is a place you go to work hard for your money, and you should go and get involved. Yet don’t get so involved that you push yourself to high amount of depression. If things aren't going right, do something to get your mind off of it, take a day away. Also, if the job you have just isnt working, search out a new one, but remember nobody really loves their job there will be off days. Money is a very common thing for someone to help problems coming up with, most people can't get jobs, prices have risen.
dealing with the Trauma
After major events, that can be a big cause to bring back a big amount of depression. Trauma is something a lot of people have a issue with because it's just so hard to let something go that had affected one so much. PTSD is another big one because you cannot control the way you react to certain incidents. That's why people have such big problems, is the after trauma. People can develop nightmares, visions.
Trauma is a big event that someone goes through, but has a certain effect to some people after. It includes sadness, feeling of loss. Trauma can affect a person for as long as the person can live on. Lots have to do with visions, or rough feeling. There are different times of all trauma, some can be more severe than others. One could go through a horrible trauma and may not want to talk, sometimes that's ok, its good to give people their own space.
People with severe trauma can discover PTSD. With the difficult visions, feelings, loss, it can be very hard for someone to stay with their focus on life. PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder. Women are twice as likely to develop PTSD than men or children. Mostly when a person is to develop PTSD, its cause with warlike visions they intake, natural disaster. For example, when one is to get into an accident, if they have after trauma, it can bring visions of the accident, or major feelings.
In my opinion, it's very common for people to get PTSD. So that's why I feel that if one is put through that, they should be put on medication, and maybe some therapy. Your health is definitely not something to mess around. Also when talking to someone about the situation, make sure they know what their doing. PTSD is something a lot of people go through, so don't become ashamed of the situation.
Depression is something most people face, and unfortunately, some don’t overcome. In the past 9 blogs I've spoken a lot about different topics. So many people are out there to show others that there is help, to overcome depression, anxiety, suicide, serious issues that people develop. It important to find help, talk to someone, go on a website and read others stories, do something exciting that will take your mind elsewhere.
Stop Abuse Campaign, is one of the most popular websites that can open one's eyes on the topic of abuse, for all ages. Its biggest focus, “make a difference and every life, protect children, prevent trauma.” They have stories of victims stories from all over posted to read. They take donations to help babies, young teens. Also to help run their own campaign, because they are trying to make a difference, it costs.
Get Help Now is a big campaign running for stop bullying. It gives you all sorts of help, depending on the problem, it gives a what one can do. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline is a big part of the Get Help Now, it's somewhere people can call when they're at their all time low. Bullying is such a big problem with most schools, so the help from online can sometimes be a big help if someone is in need.
In my opinion, these websites are a big help to some. It's a place that one can go go to see stories on what might be going on with others who may be going through something similar. Stop Abuse is a big campaign, and I think it's inspiring to see that someone is taking such huge steps to save one child at a time. They have put so much effort into their work for campaigning and getting people's support. Get help Now is such a great place for someone who is in need to help another with something to do with bullying, where they can find solutions.
Different types of depression
Studies have shown that over time, people sometime have lots of different types of depression. Some may be more sever. Medication called antidepressant are there to help people with depression. If the medications are not working, your doctor, if one is going to one, then they may suggest Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Also Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation can also help.
It's normal to feel down sometimes, but on a daily basis it can affect your lifestyle, one may have clinical depression. It is a depression that most treat it with medicine over time, talking with a therapist. For most, it can push people away because of the way it affects one and makes one act. Events in one's life can also bring on depression, or changes in your brain
The next type is major depression, it's where you are depressed most all days. Most people lose weight or gain it. Also thinking about the issue can bring sleep deprivation, which can make you even more mad because you're tired all day. Also feeling guilty can put a lot of pressure on one and can make it all kinds of stressful.
Yet whatever the problem it is, if you have sadness all day every day, it will make one push others away and not have communication with anything. Always make sure you tell someone, talk to a therapist. That's why it is very important for one to make sure if they have clinical depression, or major depression, that they get on some antidepressants, or talk to somebody to help.
